How to Come Up with Princess Names
When you're looking to write a royal character, start by thinking of the origin or traits you want their name to evoke. Here are a few tips to help you get started.
1. Get inspiration from foreign languages.
Think French (Aveline), Italian (Fiorella), or Japanese (Kiyomi) for beautiful, inspiring options. Try to look up translations for words that capture exactly what you want your princess to be, whether that's a wise woman, a courageous warrior, a beautiful star, a graceful dancer.
