    Expert Answer
Revealing hidden files involves messing around in the Terminal, which is where the main system of the computer is located. If you accidentally move, open, or delete the wrong thing, you could render your system inoperable. There's really no good reason to do this.

To locate and access your Minecraft mods folder, you should follow these steps: First, close Minecraft completely, ensuring both Minecraft and its launcher are shut down before attempting to access the mods folder. This precaution helps prevent crashes that could occur if the game tries to load while you are editing files. Next, open your Minecraft directory; on Mac, you can do this by opening Finder, pressing Command + Shift + G, typing `~/Library/Application Support/minecraft`, and clicking Go. Finally, inside the `.minecraft` directory, you will find a folder named 'mods', which is where all your installed mod `.jar` files are stored.
